Staff Introduction

Dr Niloy Karia

Niloy Karia is our Principal Dentist with a special interest in implants, facial aesthetics, and sedation.
Dr. Karia will be celebrating 34 years of working in general dental practice. He has trained under renowned experts such as Hilt Tatum, Jag Dhanda, Sami Stagnell and Stuart Orton-Jones.
Niloy is highly trained and experienced in implant placement procedures, bone expansion, soft tissue surgery, occlusion, and other surgical techniques.
He has a very reputable business, which is reflected in our long-standing, loyal patients. Additionally, he has been a foundation dentist educational supervisor with the London deanery since 2000, guiding newly qualified dentists in a one-year training programme.
Dr. Karia was instrumental in bringing dentistry into health clubs in the UK, notably at Cannons Health Club in 2004, merging dentistry, facial aesthetics, and beauty under one roof. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, travelling, and spending time with his family.
Professor Jag Dhanda

Dental Implant Surgeon and an Oral and Maxillofacial/Head and Neck Surgeon with a subspecialty interest in reconstruction and head and neck oncology.
He is also a Professor of Surgery and Extended Reality in Medicine and Surgery.
He has been the successful recipient of three Royal College of Surgeons of England research fellowships (college, board and specialty).
Professor Dhanda is the founder and clinical lead for Virtual Reality in Medicine and Surgery (VRiMS.net), a training resource for surgeons and healthcare professionals using extended reality, with one of the largest footprints in extended reality in the world.
VRiMS has delivered hundreds of workshops in virtual reality to thousands of medical students. His work has established itself in every medical school in the UK and now is expanding into Europe. His non-profit work extends to training in five Africa countries in which devices and content are donated to train the workforce in low resource settings.

Debbie has worked in management at Karia Dental for over 30 years and has recently transferred to our Hadlow Road practice. She enjoys keeping fit at the gym and spending time with her family.

Experienced principal dentist over 20 years. With special interest in Cosmetic Dentistry and Dental Implants. Also a dental vocational trainer since Jan 2000, training newly qualified dentists graduating from the university in this 1 year programme.
Dr Niloy Karia was instrumental in bringing dentistry into health clubs in the UK, specifically the Cannons health club in 2004. Successful in merging dentistry, facial aesthetics and beauty under the same roof. He had developed Kent Dental practice into a full dental spa.

Preeti Purewal

Preeti joined our team in early 2024 as a dentist. She qualified at the University of Liverpool in 2002.
She also completed a Diploma of Membership of Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS RCS Eng).
She has special interest in cosmetic dentistry including composite bonding, cosmetic whitening, and composite fillings.
Her interests outside of work are going to the gym, travelling, and baking. Â
Helen Lorimer

Helen graduated with honours in 2000 from University of Leeds. She has been working at the practice for 21 years and has a very loyal list of patients who enjoy coming in to see her regularly. Helen enjoys general dentistry, composite bonding, root canal treatment and aligners.

Maz graduated in 2015 at Birmingham University. He joined Karia Dental 2020 and immediately blended into the team. Maz has a very kind and gentle approach, which works fantastic with our more nervous patients. He has a special interest in Endodontics.

Syndu started with Karia Dental in 2023. She qualified from Kings College London in 2021, and has since taken an interest in cosmetic dentistry. She loves working with nervous patients and children, with many taking a liking to her due to her positive and calming manner.

within the team and has the most infectious laugh! Patients warm to Jade very well as she
has a kind and approachable personality. Jade likes going on holiday and spending time with
her friends.

Maria started working for Karia Dental in 2024 as a Dental Nurse. She
immediately settled into the team and works well within our nursing team. She has a young
family and enjoys days out with her children.

Anju is the newest dental nurse to join our team. She works great within the

Rebecca has been with Karia for 14 years as a Dental Nurse. She is a very valuable member of staff. Rebecca assists our Principal Dentist with sedation & implant appointments, and this works well with Rebeccas kind and caring approach. She loves travelling and exploring in her spare time. Rebecca is currently planning her wedding!

Amanda has worked within the team for 30+ years. She is a brilliant
dental nurse and is well respected within the team. She enjoys all aspects of nursing but has
a real interest in surgical extractions and implant surgery. Amanda enjoys going swimming,
doing Zumba classes and spending time with family.
